Alice Beasley has exhibited her quilts at many of EBHQ's "Voices in Cloth" shows. She has a current show at the
Joyce Gordon Gallery in Oakland. The gallery is holding a special event from 6 to 9 pm this Friday as part of this exhibit. Ms. Beasley will be speaking at the gallery this Friday at 7 pm; her talk will be moderated by Nancy Bavor, who is the Curator of
Collections at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
The exhibit, entitled "Loss: Public/Private", examines absence and loss in both our private
(life, aging, loneliness); and in our public lives (voting rights, gun
violence, global financial crisis).
